Enjoy Lata Song "AAYEGA AANEWALA" played by me on my Mouth Organ which is from Old Film MAHAL.(1949)
The immortal song "AAYEGA AANEWALA" was sung by Lata Mangeshkar in 1949. It was picturized on most beautiful actress Madhubala. This song was a raging hit in those days. Even today after more than 59 years this song is loved by both young and old listeners alikeAs per Lata Mangeshkar, this song remains the most favorite song of Lata Mangeshkar.
As per Lata Mangeshkar, it was quite an exercise when this song was recorded. In those days they did not have the modern digital sound technology like we have it today where we use computer software to shape the sound whichever way Music Directotr likes.
Music Director of Mahal Khemchand Prakash Ji wanted to add a special haunting effect of echo in the sound and he also wanted the begining of the song to sound as if it was coming from a distance of 50 feet so as to create the haunting effect as the script of the movie "Mahal" was based on reincarnation.
So Music Director Khemchand Prakash asked Lata Mangeshkar to walk and approach slowly to the microphone from an approximate distance of 50 feet from the recording Microphone while singing the Sthaayi of the song.
The distance was measured very accurately so that when Lata reached within 4 inches of Microphone, the last word of Sthaayi or the begining of the song would end. So Lata had to keep the exact tempo or speed while walking towards microphone. With all the great care taken by every recording technician, Lata could not do it accurately and she had to walk back 50 feet from the microphone several times until at last she completed the last word of Antara exactly when she reaced the microphone. After the recording was completed after several takes Lata Ji was completely exhausted and she had to take 30 minutes rest sitting on a chair where she almost collapsed. Finally, she packed up for the day and went home.
Lata still remembers this event very vividly and always mentions about it in her live interviews.
Now today, we have the best reording technology with digital and electronic sound. So with all this modern sound and software technology, can today's Music Directors compose even one melodious song like "Aayega Aanewala" which can last test of time for 59 years. I doubt very much.
I hope you will enjoy my Mouth Organ Rendition of the song. If you like my rendition on Mouth Organ then you may give me your valuable feedback through your comment.

Dear Dr Kamath Sir,
Bahut hi Khubsurat rendition kiya hai aapne which is very soothing to listen all the times. I would say to listen such melodious tune on mouth organ from you and that too of old melodies of Lataji is great and unique from your side. I could never imagine before that this particular song of Lata will sound so melodious on mouth organ. Mein yahi kahna cha hoonga ke this your own magic which you bring melody and charm in any musical instruments. Be it flute, synthesizer or mouth organ. This is your magnificent talent which is entertaining this whole world and you are one of the promising stars in the field of music. I only regret why you were not known as one of the music directors of goldem music era contemporarily to stalwarts likeSJ , SD , Naushad, RD etc. you have this talent in you whether you really believe or not. But yes I can understand many factors besides our professional commitments, family and other factors too jiska mein khud ek bahut bara shikaar hoon. Dekhiye bhagwaan ne chahaa to mein kuch is line mein apna naam roshan kar sakoon and I wish the same about you. Meri ab ekhi apse tammanna hai ke you should be Bollywood Music. It is really mandatory these days a person like you in this field who can bring back classical music and music pattern of golden era.
And very beautifully you have narrated the relevant facts about Lataji that how much she had to struggle and exercise to complete this song with lack of these days’ technology.
This is very new information which I found very very interesting to read. Youa are bestowed music talents from God. Once again I would say your tune is superb to listen on Mouth Organ which is very challenging to play and produce such melody on Mouth organ
Long live your music
God bless you and your family
Regards,
Mukesh
